Sense of Taste

Here we are testing our sense of taste...
We had to shut our eyes and try to guess what food was on our tongue!

We all have different tastes - not everything tastes nice...!

We studied each other's tongues to see if we could see our taste buds!

Marbling

We had lots of fun experimenting with 'marbling inks'.
They made wonderful patterns on the paper...

Police Officer visit

Here we are learning about the different 'Emergency Services'.
We learned about what an emergency might be and when we should call '999'...!

Class 2's Pudding Lane Bakery

Class 2 was converted into the 'Pudding Lane Bakery' for a day and the children made some delicious iced buns! They expertly mixed, kneaded, baked and beautifully decorated their buns which were were so tasty that Mrs Harris said they were good enough for The Great British Bake Off! Great work Class 2!

Class 2 Know What Makes a Great Ending!

The clever children in Class 2 have been reading a story called 'Monkey Tricks'. In the story, Monkey tricks all the other animals out of their lovely cheese rolls!

The children got together in groups to discuss how they would add an extra scene on to the end of the story. They decided how they should deal with naughty Monkey and acted out their endings in role play form. As you can see, most of them prefer a happy ending!

Class 2 Visit Cowbridge Fire Station

On Thursday 11th September, Class 2 took a bus trip to Cowbridge Fire Station as part of our topic 'Remember, Remember'.

First, the fantastic firemen, Neil, John and David, taught us about fire safety and The Great Fire of London.

After that, they took us outside so we could take turns trying on fire outfits, climbing inside the fire engine's cab and squirting the fire hose!

We used it to water the fire station's pumpkin patch and the sunshine and spray combined to create little rainbows.

It was a brilliant trip and Mr John said it was his best birthday ever!
